Art Series: Henri Matisse

On October 12th, The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) will present Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs, the most comprehensive look at Matisse's cut-out works since 1961 in New York. Matisse's use of color and revolutionary work with paper made him one of the most important artists of the 20th century. The exhibition will include more than 100 cut-outs along with the post-conservation debut of The Swimming Pool (1952), the initial piece of work that inspired the current monumental exhibition.

Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs will be on view at MoMA through February 8th, 2015.
