On September 6th, American based artist Jacob Hashimoto debuted his latest exhibition, Skyfarm Fortress, a large-scale three-dimensional sculpture of suspended open cubes and square kites. Hashimoto, known for creating remarkable installations, uses conventional kite-making techniques inspired by his Japanese heritage. With Skyfarm Fortress, Hashimoto creates a wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling setting creating a firm narrative of complex structure and style. Skyfarm Fortress serves as the antithesis to Hashimoto’s previous West Coast installation, Gas Giant. The exhibition is now on view through October 25th, 2014 at Mary Boone Gallery.
